The year of 2020 was a turning point for many, including R&B/soul singer-songwriter Zoe Kypri who once spent her days singing front on global dance music tours, yet like many artists lost the freedom to perform in front of thousands when the pandemic hit.
Confined to her home in Walthamstow, East London, where she was born and raised, Zoe Kypri spent many months writing demos in her bedroom, where she found the inspiration for her first single of 2021, ‘Bored’. A pop-soul ballad that encapsulates how many would have felt during their time in the, what felt like never-ending, UK lockdown. It’s her powerful vocal performance and honest lyricism that gives hope of brighter days to come where we can experience live music together once again.
